Greetings from San Ramon (see map), CA in this blessed
Christmas season.

2016 has been an eventful year. First of all, God has led us from Houston, TX
to San Ramon. We are very grateful to
God for our 23 years in Houston, TX - for church life and for all the
friendship we have. We’re gonna to miss
Y’All. But we are also very excited to
start a NEW journey in our lives by moving BACK to San Francisco Bay Area where
we left 31 years ago. We will be closer
to families, reconnect with old friends, and meet new friends.
John still works for Chevron and was transferred to Chevron HQ
(San Ramon) in August and he came first.
Ellen has finally moved to here in December after our Houston house is
sold. So we are all here now. Even our dog, Elsa, also flew on her own from
Houston to San Francisco in December. We
are still slowly trying to acclimate (never thought this place will get this
cold).
In about a month, all this will change again. We will move into our condo (hint – downsize)
in Alameda, across from San Francisco.
This is the view of the city and the bay from our complex. Our unit is just two minute walk from this
beach. We will be doing a lot of biking and
walking the dog in the future. Alameda has the small town charms but with big city convenience. One of our
favorite stores, Trader Joe’s, is only within walking distance. Ellen will try to get some rest after we
finally settle down in our condo.
We want to take this moment to thank all our friends, whether
in Texas or in California, for your friendship, encouragement, and help along this journey. It has made a big impact in our lives. May God Bless You and Your Family in this
special Christmas Season and the coming New Year.
